About Sholée

Sholée Parry’s work as a printed-textile designer and mixed-media artist embraces her passion for the use of colour. She draws inspiration from various sources ranging from Antoni Gaudi’s architectural delights to arts from around the world.

Sholée has a Master’s degree in textiles from Central St. Martin’s College of Art and Design and is in demand to share her expertise in workshops and courses in and around Croxley Green, the Hertfordshire village where she lives.

Sholée combines textile techniques including dyeing, printing, painting, collage, and stitch, and works on both paper and fabric. Her unique work comes from a desire to explore colour and its impact on various media, surfaces, techniques and processes.

Having been fortunate to work alongside top fashion, interior and textile designers, and for retailers such as Conran Design Studio, Designers Guild, Osborne & Little, Mothercare, BHS, George of Asda, Debenhams and Disney, Sholée also sold her designs at prestigious trade shows in New York, Paris and London.

She later established a fashion and textile business and gained a post-graduate certificate in further/higher education (PGCE). She became a lead lecturer at several London colleges and returned to St. Martin’s to deliver sessions.

Since the Covid-19 outbreak, Sholée’s creations have included gel prints and dot-painted mandalas on canvas. She has sold work to clients nationally and internationally and been widely praised on social media for her work.

She is happy to take commissions from individuals as well as businesses of all sizes, and is available for workshops and teaching.
